Dietitian Travel/Contract Job in Los Angeles, CA

Job Overview

Job Description

• Perform pre-transplant evaluations for heart and lung transplant patients.
• Participate in transplant patient selection committee.

Required Experience

• Transplant patient experience is required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist license in California.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC) required.
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required.

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start; must be updated annually.
• Negative TB test (QGold) or chest X-ray within 1 year of start.
• Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or completed vaccine series)
  • Varicella
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap: declination accepted if signed within past year or proof of vaccine within 10 years.
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31) or signed declination.
• COVID-19 vaccine or declination required: one dose of Pfizer/Moderna monovalent vaccine or two doses of Novavax administered on or after 9/12/2023.

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Completion of various mandatory online training modules including:

  • HIPAA Privacy and Information Security Training
  • OSHA Orientation and Annual Education Training
  • C-ICARE Training Module and Post Test
  • Code of Conduct Module and Post Test
  • Radiation Hazard Awareness Training
  • Age Specific Training
  • Safe Patient Handling and Training
  • "We Listen We Care" Module
• Review and sign facility-specific documents related to:

  • Elder Abuse Reporting
  • Child Abuse Reporting
  • Domestic Abuse Reporting
  • Confidentiality Agreement
• Photo for badge required within 72 hours of signing (specific to certain locations).
• Access request forms and other onboarding paperwork must be completed timely to ensure start date access.

• Drug testing (9-panel) required within 12 months of start (Aya requirement).
