Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Shift

  • Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Hours

  • 36 hours per week

Unit Overview

  • Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with orthopedic, behavioral health, and complex medical patients
  • Travelers are first to float and may be floated frequently to meet staffing needs

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Nebraska
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
  • ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Driver's License
  • 2 years of prior experience in a large, urban hospital
  • Comfort taking care of behavioral health patient population
  • Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACLS
  • CPI

Additional Job Expectations

  • Drips are required on all floors
  • First-time travelers are not accepted, unless the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center
  • Weekend coverage is required
  • Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
  • Candidate must live more than 100 miles from the facility

  • Pending license accepted; if not in hand at submission, start will be scheduled 6 weeks out
  • Government-issued photo ID required
  • Background check required
  • State-specific registry search required
  • References required
  • Annual skills checklist required
  • Annual health and immunization documentation required
  • Drug screening required
  • Fit test required
  • Physical exam required

  • Scrubs are mandatory and must be Steele gray with the facility logo printed on the back
  • Parking is available for a fee
