X-Ray Tech - Travel/Contract Position
Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Night shift: Monday to Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Work includes GI procedures, general X-ray, C-arm use in the OR, and portable X-ray
- Level I Trauma experience preferred
- Experience with equipment/software such as Siemens, GE OEC, Ziehm, Shimadzu, Philips PACS required
- Epic system experience required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technician license in Florida
- ARRT certification
- Minimum 2 years of Radiology Technician experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience as an X-Ray Technician
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience with Epic system
Compliance and Training Requirements
- Completion of multiple online orientation and training modules prior to start, including but not limited to:
- Clinical/Online Orientation Module
- Annual Risk Management Course
- General Compliance & Ethics Training
- Code of Conduct
- Comprehensive Emergency Management Education
- Preventing & Reporting Workplace Harassment
- Additional nursing-specific modules (if applicable) such as:
- ICU Medical modules (e.g., Attaching Spiros, Building Primary Set for Hazardous Administrations)
- Nurses' Guide to Safely Administering IV Medication
- Recognizing Impairment in the Workplace
- Stroke and Stroke Core Measures Review
- End of Life Module
- Procedural Sedation Adults and Pediatrics Course
- Laser Safety (for OR nurses)
- Badge photo required: passport-style, color, white background, no obstructions or filters
- Data Security and Privacy Policy forms required
- Annual skills checklist and medication/pharmacology competency exams as applicable
- Color blindness testing annually with minimum 80% score
Additional Notes
- Candidates pending license can interview but cannot start until license and endorsements are fully obtained
- Locals within a 60-mile radius are considered
