Occupational Therapist - Pediatrics (Travel/Contract)

Location: Murrieta, California
Contract Length: 20 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an Occupational Therapist with pediatric outpatient experience to assess and treat children with developmental conditions such as Autism, sensory challenges, fine motor delay, and regulation issues. Experience with feeding/eating is preferred but not required.

Schedule

• Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Work Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (off Monday)
• Hours: 40 hours per week (4 days x 10 hours)
• No on-call requirements; may call off based on patient volume

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pediatric Occupational Therapist license in California
• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Occupational Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with pediatric patients in an outpatient setting
• NBCOT certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Certifications & Licenses

• Must hold or be eligible for a California OT license
• NBCOT certification required
• BLS (AHA) required

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Valid photo ID (front and back) required on first day
• Background checks including criminal history, education verification, and federal exclusions must be current within 30 days of start
• Education verification: diploma and transcripts required
• Physical exam within 1 year, stating good health without restrictions
• Fit test for N95 masks within 1 year (not required for non-clinical roles)
• Immunizations and titers required: Tdap (within 10 years), Hepatitis B (series or titer), Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
• Negative TB test (Qgold/Tspot within 6 months or two negative PPDs)
• Negative 9-panel drug test (non-THC) within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (declinations not accepted)
• Required facility-specific forms and acknowledgments must be completed prior to start (e.g., HIPAA, Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement)
• Badge photo meeting facility specifications required before start

Experience & References

• 2 supervisory references from clinical leadership (director, supervisor, or manager) verified within 1 year of start
• Full 7-year employment history with explanations for gaps over 6 months

• Locals are not accepted for this travel contract
• Maximum 6 days return-to-office (RTO) allowed
• Hours guaranteed after call-off policy is met
