• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 40 hours per week guaranteed
• Option to consider 4-day workweek if requested

Caseload and Patient Population

• Average daily caseload: 10 to 14 patients
• Visit length: 30 minutes to 1 hour per visit
• Primarily adult patients
• General outpatient practice with orthopedic and neurological diagnoses

Facility Type

• Outpatient Rehabilitation - Physical Therapy clinic
• General practice setting
• Comfortable working with pediatric patients, including children on the autism spectrum and sensory issues (especially relevant for OTs)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Virginia
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant within the last year
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Valid driver’s license required

Documentation and Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Background checks within 1 year, including SS Trace, County searches (7 years), Nationwide, Sex Offender registry
• Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with specific protocols for past positives)
• Immunization or titer proof for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• Emergency contact form required prior to start
• Employment application and facility-specific attestation must be completed before start
• Skills checklist required annually
• References: 2 professional references for travel/allied/per diem acute care; 1 for per diem non-acute care (within 3 years)

• Charting system: Prompt (Clinicient EMR)
• Attire: Embroidered shirt provided; wear scrub pants and closed-toe shoes
• Free parking available; no mileage reimbursement
• RTO (Request Time Off) must be approved at time of submission; holidays cannot all be taken off
• Call-outs require more than 24 hours’ notice
• Small-town setting with outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and river/lake recreation
• Close to larger cities for shopping and amenities
