Job Opportunity: SLP Home Health

Location

  • Burlingame, California (San Francisco metropolitan area, majority downtown)
  • Territory includes a heavily populated area with homeless; no direct work with this population but must be comfortable navigating the area.

Position Details

  • Specialty: Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) in Home Health
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Schedule: Full-time, 3 shifts per week, 8 hours each (Day shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • Guaranteed Hours: 20 hours per week minimum
  • Average Patients per Day: Variable
  • Types of Cases: Home Health patients focusing on gait, strength, and range of motion

Contract Length

  • Approximately 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in California
  • Minimum 1 year of Speech Language Pathologist experience within the last year
  • Experience in a Home Health setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Additional Requirements

  • Dress Code: Scrubs, any color
  • Charting system: Kinnser/Wellsky
  • No on-call duties required
  • Mileage reimbursement available; Uber rides covered as an alternative
  • Locals accepted within a 50-mile radius

Background and Compliance

  • Government-issued photo ID required
  • Emergency contact form required prior to start
  • Background check within 1 year including SS trace, county searches (7 years), nationwide, and sex offender registry; updated annually
  • Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required

Certifications and Exams

  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
