Overview
- Travel/contract role in Saint Louis, Missouri
- Day shift: 4x10s, with start times as needed
- 40 hours per week
- On-call required: 24 hours per 6-week schedule period as needed
- Floating: within the service line
- First-time travelers accepted
- Pending license accepted
- Local candidates not accepted
- Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
- No more than 7 days of requested time off
- Guaranteed hours: 40
- Block scheduling not accommodated
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
- 1 year of critical care experience or experience from a Level I Trauma Center
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
- Proficiency managing complicated postoperative patients including multiple drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia
- Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with Epic
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Required Certifications
- Telemetry
- IV start
- Ventilator management
Unit / Patient Care Details
- PACU for postoperative recovery
- Level I trauma setting
- Cares for surgical patients including GU, GYN, colorectal, minimally invasive, bariatric, and some ENT cases
- May manage complex postoperative patients with multiple drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia
