Overview

Travel/contract role in Saint Louis, Missouri
Day shift: 4x10s, with start times as needed
40 hours per week
On-call required: 24 hours per 6-week schedule period as needed
Floating: within the service line
First-time travelers accepted
Pending license accepted
Local candidates not accepted
Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
No more than 7 days of requested time off
Guaranteed hours: 40
Block scheduling not accommodated

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
1 year of critical care experience or experience from a Level I Trauma Center
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
Proficiency managing complicated postoperative patients including multiple drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia
Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Experience with Epic
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association

Required Certifications

IV start
Ventilator management

Unit / Patient Care Details

PACU for postoperative recovery
Level I trauma setting
Cares for surgical patients including GU, GYN, colorectal, minimally invasive, bariatric, and some ENT cases
May manage complex postoperative patients with multiple drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia
