Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Auburn, New York
• Start date: ASAP
• Assignment length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week, with option to do 48
• Floating required per facility needs
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• Holiday requirement: every other holiday
• No blocked scheduling

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• 1 year of experience in Med Surg / Telemetry
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Skills in telemetry rhythm interpretation and management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, rapid response/code team use, peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions

Additional Requirements

• No requested time off at submittal; any time off after offer will not be approved
• Must be able to start ASAP or within the required timeframe for expedited consideration
• Background check covering the past 7 years of residences, work, and school
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG screening before start
• Unexpired government-issued photo ID
• Full physical exam within 12 months of start, signed by a licensed provider
• Fit test within 12 months of start
• TB screening within 1 year of start, or chest x-ray if previously positive
• Tdap within the last 10 years or declination
• Measles and rubella immunity documentation
• Mumps immunity status must be provided
• Hepatitis B documentation or declination
• Varicella documentation
• 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccine or declination during flu season
• COVID vaccine records or declination
• 2 professional references within 3 years of hire
• Skills checklist
• Signed orientation and facility policy acknowledgements

Notes

• Team nursing model includes RN, LPN, and PCA support, with up to 8 patients per care team
• Candidates within 50 miles of the facility have a lower bill rate
• No hits on nursing license are an automatic disqualifier
