Overview
- Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
- Employment type: Travel/Contract

- Local candidates not accepted; home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
- Floating: Yes, within the ICU service line
- On-call: No
- Block scheduling: Not available
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- RTO limit: No more than 7 days
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

- Medical Intensive Care Unit

- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition
- CVP monitoring
- Pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
- Chronic/acute renal failure
- Arterial line management
- Blood product administration
- Central line and PICC line care/management
- IV initiation and maintenance
- Continuous IV sedation
- Emergency medications
- Cardiac and vasoactive drip titration
- Stroke/CVA management
- BiPAP support
- Ventilator care and management
- ABG interpretation
- Respiratory failure care
- ETT/NT suctioning
- Infection prevention and isolation precautions
- Phlebotomy

Unit Details
- ICU patient diagnoses include respiratory failure/ARDS, chest pain/cardiac arrhythmias, stroke, cardiac arrest, DKA, multi-organ failure, and sepsis
- Unit care includes pre- and post-op cardiac, thoracic, and abdominal surgeries; medicine and neuro-medicine overflow; pre- and post-transplant; end-of-life/organ donation
- Special equipment includes IV pumps/titration, CRRT/dialysis, ventilator/BiPAP, hemodynamic/invasive monitoring, and defibrillator/crash cart
