Operating Room RN Travel Contract

Overview

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Operating Room (1 year of experience)
• Operating Room experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule / Orientation

• General orientation begins on Sundays
• Sunday orientation includes online CBLs
• Includes 16 hours of nonbillable orientation

Work Expectations

• May be canceled or called off one shift biweekly without financial penalty if census decreases
• Additional shifts above the work commitment may be flexed as needed without penalty if census or resource needs decrease
• Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education in addition to clinical care

Compliance / Onboarding Items

• Background check required within 30 days of start
• Education verification required
• Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry required if licensed or certified in Tennessee or working at a Tennessee facility
• Drug screen required within 14 days of start
• Physical exam required within 1 year of start
• Fit testing completed onsite for candidates with patient contact
• Negative TB screening or chest X-ray required
• MMR immunity documentation required for measles, mumps, and rubella
• Hepatitis B documentation required
• Varicella immunity documentation required
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• References required
• Skills checklist required

• Candidate must complete facility-specific onboarding documents and acknowledgements
