Job Description
- Provide hemodialysis nursing care including various types of hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, apheresis, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) in critical care areas.
- Use B Braun dialysis machines, NXStage machines for apheresis/CRRT, and Baxter machines for CCPD/peritoneal dialysis.
- Responsible for cleaning dialysis machines and making required calls.
- Experience with acute dialysis, including CRRT and apheresis, is preferred.
- Shifts: 0800 - 1830 or 1000 - 2030, approximately 40 hours per week with variable shift days.
- On-call required 8:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 4-5 days per month including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Weekend work every other Friday/Saturday.
- No guaranteed hours; overtime available after 40 hours.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Michigan
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum of 1 year of dialysis experience, with dialysis experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Completion of Core Competency Exams including OSHA and Joint Commission (JC) requirements
- Ishihara compliant color vision exam
- Valid driver’s license or state ID
