Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Technician

Location: Nantucket, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Tuesday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM
• On call Wednesday 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekends on call only

Requirements

Licensure & Certification

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification by ARDMS required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA preferred)

Experience

• Minimum years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard for Ultrasound Technician (typically 1-2 years)

Mandatory Credentials & Compliance

• MGB FEMA ICS 100 Training (must be completed before onboarding)

• Color Vision Test: Within 365 days of start
• Immunizations:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or proof of immunity
  • Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 – April 30), no exemptions
  • TB Test: Documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test)
  • Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start
• Background Checks:

  • Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start
  • Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start
  • National Sex Offender Check within 30 days prior to start and updated annually
  • Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start and annually
• Resume: Include past 7 years of work experience with city & state
• References: Two recent references required, at least one supervisor or above in skillset
• Skills Checklist: Required for submission
• Candidate Submission Coversheet: Required for submission

Additional Information

• Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation required as part of fit test documentation
• Positive TB test requires negative chest X-ray documentation
• Hepatitis B and Tdap vaccines are strongly preferred but optional
• No religious or medical exemptions allowed for flu vaccine or fit testing
• Housing agreement and confirmation of assignment forms required upon hire
