Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Technician (Travel)

Location: Panama City, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Employment Type: Travel
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• On Call: 1-2 days per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Christmas Day

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist in the Cath Lab.
• Must be able to function as a scrub and assist physicians with Right and Left Heart Catheterizations.
• Ability to intervene emergently with Percutaneous interventions using emergent equipment such as Impella and Stenting.
• Preferred: Experience with vascular and structural heart procedures.

Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required.

Required Credentials & Certifications

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• Current professional license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
• Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics) completed within one year, updated yearly
• Ascension Medical Imaging Contract Worker Onboarding and Education Attestation
• Immunizations and Health Requirements:

  • MMR (proof of two vaccines or positive titer, no declinations)
  • Fit Test (annual, preferred prior to start)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
  • Influenza vaccine (seasonal, exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
  • Positive PPD or IGRA with negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination (no declinations)
  • Tdap vaccine (valid for 10 years, no declinations)
• Health Statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• Drug Screening: 12 panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Background and Verification Requirements:

  • Criminal background check including SSN trace, employment verification, OIG search, national sex offender check
  • EPLS check within 90 days of start
  • Education verification relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start
  • Employment verification for the past 7 years
  • Professional references (at least two) prior to first assignment
• Skills Checklist: Clinical skills checklist completed within one year of start, updated annually
• Driver’s License/State ID (valid, matching address requirements)
