Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Perform X-Rays for Emergency Room (ER) and Inpatient (IP) populations
  • Morning portable X-Ray duties
  • Must hold ARRT (RT) certification and BLS certification

Required Credentials & Certifications

Licenses & Certifications

  • ARRT (RT) Certification (implied by job specialty)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - Must be American Heart Association (AHA) certified
  • Current state license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
  • Valid Driver’s License or State ID (not expired, must match address on file)

Testing & Exams

  • Ascension Specialty Exam: Completed prior to first assignment; minimum 80% passing score; updated every 3 years
  • Ascension Core Competencies: Includes HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics; completed within a year of start and updated yearly; minimum 80% score
  • Ascension Skills Checklist: Clinical skills checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually

Health & Immunizations

  • MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer; no declinations accepted
  • Varicella: Documented proof of two vaccines, serological immunity, or verified history; no declinations accepted
  • Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
  • Tdap: Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted
  • Fit Test: Required for all travelers; preferred prior to start, can be completed onsite; updated annually
  • TB Testing: 2-step PPD or IGRA within specified timeframes; if positive, chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire required
  • Health Statement: Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment; updated annually
  • 12 Panel Drug Screen: Within 30 days prior to start; updated annually; retesting required if break in service > 90 days

Professional Requirements

  • Resume/Profile submission required
  • Two professional references required prior to first assignment
  • Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, Employment Verification, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry; completed within 30 days of assignment start and updated annually
  • EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check within 90 days of start; rerun if break in service > 90 days
  • Education verification relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start; rerun if break in service > 90 days
  • Employment verification for past 7 years; updated annually
  • Ascension Medical Imaging Contract Worker Onboarding Education Attestation (6 hours pre-hire training) required prior to start
  • Confirmation of Assignment documentation required upon initial assignment and each extension

Additional Notes

  • Some onboarding forms and attestations are completed onsite by the facility
  • Post-assignment evaluations and exit surveys may be requested but are optional
  • Legal name change documentation and badge photo are optional submissions

This position requires compliance with all credentialing, health, and professional requirements prior to and during the assignment.
