Job Opportunity: RN Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Nurse - PM Shift

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

Seeking an experienced Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Nurse for a 16-bed unit caring for patients actively receiving stem cell therapies and participating in clinical trials. The nurse must have experience administering chemotherapy.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
  • Minimum 2 years of Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Med Surg and Telemetry experience
  • Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
  • Oncology nursing experience
  • Certification in OCN® or ONCC, and ONS Chemo or ONCC Chemo-bio certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience in an inpatient setting
  • Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
  • Experience administering chemotherapy
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

  • Completion of license/certification verification 30 days prior to assignment start
  • Fit test for respiratory protection (N95 or PAPR), annual requirement
  • Proof of immunizations or immunity for:
    • MMR (2 vaccinations or positive titer)
    • Varicella (2 vaccinations or positive titer)
    • Hepatitis B (series, positive titer, or declination)
    • Influenza vaccine (required during flu season)
  • Tuberculosis testing completed within 30 days prior to start (QuantiFERON, T-Spot, or 2-step skin test)
  • Physical/health statement within 1 year
  • Criminal background check completed within 90 days prior to start, including 7-year county and national checks
  • 9-panel drug screen completed within 90 days prior to start
  • Two professional references from a charge nurse or higher within the last 2 years
  • Highest level of education verification
  • Color badge photo meeting specified criteria
  • Completion of ECG exam and skills checklist prior to start
  • Annual compliance training module completion
  • Attestation for I-9 E-Verify

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
  • Specialty and clinical competency exams are recommended but optional.
  • Regulatory compliance skills checklist must be completed within 2 weeks after start date.
