Job Description

Seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to work a rotating day and evening schedule. This role involves supporting surgical procedures and ensuring a sterile and safe operating room environment.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification (NBSTSA or NCCT) required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist, with experience within the last year.
• Must have current and valid professional license/certification as required for the position. MA Conditional Licenses are not accepted.
• BLS Certification required (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted).
• N95 fit test within 365 days of start date, updated annually. No onsite fit testing allowed.
• Respirator medical clearance required if fit test is needed; must be completed prior to fit testing and updated if medical status changes.
• Criminal background check, Massachusetts CORI, SSN trace, national sex offender check, and exclusion checks required within specified timeframes.
• Documentation of MMR immunity (vaccines or blood test).
• TB test documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test), updated if break >6 months.
• Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if break >6 months.
• Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity strongly preferred.
• Tdap vaccine preferred (within 10 years).
• If positive TB test, negative chest X-ray documentation required.
• Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state.
• Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher.
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission.
• Confirmation of assignment form required for initial assignments and extensions.
• Education verification through background check company.
• Name change documentation if applicable.

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Orientation and attestation specific to the employer’s system required prior to onboarding.
• No religious or medical exemptions allowed for N95 fit testing.
• Fit test updates can be done at specific locations if assignment is extended.
