Job Details

• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Guaranteed Work Week: 40 hours

Required Qualifications

• Sterile Processing Technician with at least 1 year of experience within the last year
• Certification as CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) or CRSCT required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)

Health and Immunization Requirements (Must be up to date prior to start)

• COVID-19 vaccine and 1 booster (proof or approved exemption required)
• MMR: Proof of 2 immunizations, positive IGG titer, or booster/declination accepted
• Hepatitis B: Proof of 3 immunizations and positive antibody titer, or booster/declination accepted
• Influenza vaccine (required October through March unless exempted)
• TB Test: Negative test within 30 days of start; if positive, additional documentation required
• Varicella: Proof of 2 immunizations, positive titer, or declination accepted
• Tdap: Vaccination within past 10 years or declination accepted
• COVID test required on start date for clinical staff (optional prior to start)

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• Negative drug screen within 30 days of start (9 panel minus THC; rapid drug screen accepted)
• Criminal background check within 30 days prior to start (7-year county, national, SSN trace, employment verification for 5 years)
• Manual searches within 30 days prior to start and updated annually: OIG, EPLS, OFAC, National Sex Offender Registry, and CA Medi-Cal Suspended/Ineligible Provider List
• Health statement signed within 1 year of start confirming ability to work without restrictions
• Driver’s license or state ID required
• Professional references: Minimum of 2, including at least 1 supervisory
• Skills checklist specific to sterile processing, completed within 1 year of start
• Various policy acknowledgments, dispute resolution agreement, confidentiality receipt, and confirmation of assignment documents required prior to or at onboarding
• Badge photo with neutral background and no facial jewelry required

Additional Information

• Fit test will be completed onsite on start date
• Optional documents and screenings may be requested or completed as needed (e.g., social security trace, employment verification, driving record)
• HLC testing recommended to be completed before start date (stipend available if completed on time)
