Role Summary

Emergency Room Registered Nurse providing care for patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening emergencies in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification may be required
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification may be preferred or required
Previous emergency department, critical care, or acute-care nursing experience preferred

Clinical Focus

Triage, assessment, intervention, stabilization, and ongoing evaluation
Monitoring vital signs, cardiac rhythms, neurological status, and patient condition changes
Administering medications, IV fluids, blood products, and other ordered treatments
Emergency procedures including CPR, trauma resuscitation, intubation, and wound care
Care for medical, surgical, cardiac, neurological, psychiatric, pediatric, and trauma-related emergencies

Onboarding / Compliance Items

BLS, PALS, and ACLS must be AHA
Badge photo required
Ascension onboarding and education attestation required
Nursing contract worker onboarding required
Nova StatStrip pre-hire module required
