Role Summary

Emergency Room Registered Nurse providing care for patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening emergencies in a fast-paced emergency department setting.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
PALS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

TNCC certification may be preferred or required

Clinical Focus

Rapid assessment, triage, stabilization, and ongoing evaluation
Monitoring vital signs, cardiac rhythms, neurological status, and patient condition changes
Administering medications, IV fluids, blood products, and other ordered treatments
Initiating and maintaining IV access and obtaining blood specimens
Assisting with CPR, trauma resuscitation, intubation, wound care, and other emergency procedures
Caring for medical, surgical, cardiac, neurological, psychiatric, pediatric, and trauma-related emergencies
