Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technician (Travel)

Job Details

• Work with the Vascular Team
• Open and Endovascular experience required
• Rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holiday call

Required Certifications & Credentials

• BLS (American Heart Association)
• Current license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment
• Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA Topics) completed within a year and updated yearly (minimum 80% score, max 2 attempts)
• Completion of Pre-Hire Surgical Technologist Contract Worker Onboarding Attestation Modules prior to clearance
• Valid Driver's License/State ID (must not be expired and meet address requirements)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Documented proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
• Fit Test (preferred prior to start, can be completed onsite; updated annually)
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza vaccine during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
• Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within a year, and annual TB questionnaire
• Two-step PPD or IGRA within specified timeframes prior to start
• Documented proof of two Varicella vaccines or serological evidence of immunity (no declinations accepted)
• Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
• Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually

Background & Compliance Checks

• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and other required screenings within 30 days of assignment
• EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check within 90 days of start
• Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Verification of education relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start
• Employment verification for the past seven years, updated annually
• Ascension Profile (resume or professional profile) and at least two professional references required prior to first assignment
• Confirmation of assignment documentation required upon initial assignment and updates for extensions

Additional Requirements

• Ascension Skills Checklist to be completed within one year of start and updated annually
• Post-assignment evaluation may be required
• Forward-facing badge photo with white or blue background (no alterations or filters)
