Job Opportunity: Rehab Nurse (RN Acute Rehab) - Nights

Location: Evansville, Indiana
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work in an acute rehab/post-acute care setting with 24 beds.
  • Patient ratio approximately 1:6-8.
  • Night shift position.

Required Qualifications

License & Certification

  • Valid RN license in Indiana.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association).
  • Must meet all state nursing licensure requirements for Indiana.

Education

  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in acute rehabilitation.
  • Rehabilitation experience within the last year.

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Documentation of immunizations and health screenings including:
    • MMR (two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted).
    • Varicella (two vaccines, immunity evidence, or history verified by healthcare provider; no declinations accepted).
    • Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination.
    • Influenza vaccine during flu season (exemptions accepted with mask requirement).
    • Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted).
    • 2-step PPD or IGRA testing for TB with annual updates.
    • Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred before start, can be done onsite).
    • Statement of good health or physical exam prior to assignment, updated annually.
  • Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
  • Criminal background check including social security trace, OIG search, and national sex offender registry within 30 days prior to start.
  • Annual skills checklist and pharmacology exam with minimum 80% score (max 2 attempts).

Additional Requirements

  • Driver’s license or state ID (valid, not expired, matching address requirements).
  • Completion of onboarding education and attestations specific to nursing contingent workers.
  • Professional references: at least two required prior to first assignment.
  • Employment and education verifications as per agency requirements.
  • Badge photo (headshot with white or blue background, no alterations).

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
