Job Opportunity: RN CVOR
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
- On-call: Approximately 2 days per week and every other weekend to every 3rd weekend, based on department needs
- Holiday call hours as needed
- Must perform general cases when no cardiovascular cases are available
- Use of EPIC electronic health record system required
- May need to float within skill set or to nearby sites within 40 miles
- Prior travel experience required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience, including experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Onboarding & Compliance Requirements
- Professional resume/profile submission required
- Signed assignment agreement upon onboarding
- Driver’s license or state ID (valid, not expired)
- Immunizations and health documentation including:
- MMR (two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Influenza vaccine during flu season (exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
- Varicella immunity (two vaccines or serological evidence; no declinations accepted)
- Tdap vaccine (valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted)
- Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA test, chest X-ray if positive, and annual TB questionnaire
- Fit test for respiratory protection (specific mask types required)
- Health statement or physical exam prior to assignment and updated annually
- Drug screening (12-panel) within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter
- Criminal background check and employment verification
- Specialty competency exams and skills checklist completed prior to assignment and updated regularly
- Color vision test prior to start and every 3 years
- Core competencies training including HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission, and National Patient Safety Goals
- EKG exam with passing score required every 3 years
- Epic test-out and training checklist with signed attestation
Additional Notes
- Must meet all licensing and credential verification requirements within 30 days prior to start
- Must comply with all onboarding and annual compliance requirements to maintain assignment eligibility
- Floating to other nearby sites may be required based on operational needs
This position is ideal for experienced CVOR RNs with prior travel experience seeking a long-term assignment in Wisconsin.
