Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (4x10)
- Shift hours: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Weekend call required: 4 shifts per 6-week schedule
Job Description
- Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse role
- Must be able to scrub during procedures
- Open-heart surgery experience required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Open-heart surgery experience
- National Tech Certification Verification
- National Tech Certification (copy)
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
- State License 1 Verification
Additional Requirements
- Must complete criminal background check within 90 days of start
- Drug screen within 90 days of start (does not include marijuana)
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to perform work without accommodations
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap (Tdap preferred within 10 years)
- N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start, updated annually
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start
- Medication and competency exams required within 3 years of start, including EKG/Dysrhythmia competency exam with minimum passing scores
- Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps
Notes
- Locals within 60 miles may be eligible for different rates (not disclosed here)
- Must be able to meet all facility-specific compliance and documentation requirements prior to start
- Weekend call and ability to work extended shifts are mandatory
