Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech

Location: Seattle, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work in an outpatient clinic setting focused on breast imaging, including screening and diagnostic mammography.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays. Open the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.
  • Typical day off during the week varies (usually Tuesday or Wednesday), flexibility required.
  • Patient population: Adults and geriatrics.
  • Facility is a medical office building on campus.

Required Skills & Procedures

  • Outpatient mammography experience.
  • Required procedures:
    • 3D Mammography
    • Diagnostic Mammograms
    • Digital Mammography
    • Screening Mammograms
  • Preferred experience with Hologic equipment.
  • EPIC system skills required.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Mammography Technologist license in Washington.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist, with experience within the last year.
  • Certifications:
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
    • ARRT (Mammography)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)

Orientation & Work Attire

  • Orientation duration: 8 hours.
  • Scrubs: Any color.

Patient Age Group

  • Adults and Geriatrics.

Additional Requirements & Compliance

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start.
  • Immunizations and health screenings including:
    • TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months.
    • Flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted).
    • COVID vaccine or declination.
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years.
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination.
  • Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start.
  • Fit mask testing required for respirator use.
  • Background checks and verifications as per state and facility requirements.
  • References: Minimum of 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.

Notes

  • Flexibility in scheduling days off during the week is required.
  • Travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are accepted.
  • Housing resources are available but not included here.
  • Must comply with all state-specific and facility-specific regulatory and training modules prior to start.
  • Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules required.
