Location: Stockbridge, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 20 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking a CT Technologist with experience in Radiology/Cardiology to perform CT scans on inpatient, emergency room, and outpatient populations ranging from neonates to geriatrics. The role involves starting IVs, consenting patients, and delivering excellent patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.


Required Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Radiology/Cardiology specialty.
  • 1st time travelers are accepted (prior travel experience not required).

Patient Population

  • Neonates to Geriatrics

Work Environment

  • Inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Use Siemens and Philips CT scanners.
  • Electronic medical records system and PACS utilized.
  • Average caseload: 12-24 patients per day.
  • Facility is a Level 3 Trauma center with a high volume of stroke alerts.
  • Work schedule includes every other weekend.
  • Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed.
  • Call requirement: 8 days total during assignment with at least 2 weeks’ notice.
  • Holiday work expectations apply depending on number of holidays during assignment.

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • CT Technologist with a minimum of 3 years of experience, including experience within the last year.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • ARRT (R)(CT) – CT certification

Additional Requirements

  • Compliance with all orientation and credentialing requirements prior to start.
  • Background check and education verification required.
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start.
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months.
  • Drug screening within 60 days of start.
  • Immunizations/vaccinations including MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, and seasonal flu vaccine or declination.
  • Color blindness test required.
  • Skills checklist and work history verification required.
  • References: 2 clinical references required.

Job Duties

  • Perform CT scans following established protocols.
  • Start IVs and obtain patient consent.
  • Collaborate with technologists, nurses, doctors, and transporters.
  • Maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Adhere to facility policies and procedures.

Orientation & Onboarding

  • Orientation hours vary based on contract length.
  • Full compliance required to start on time; delays may result in assignment pushback.

Notes

  • Locals accepted at the same rate.
  • Clinical screening will be conducted to determine candidate fit.
  • Dress code: Gray scrub color.
