Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Illinois
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ARRT certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
- 1–3 years of Interventional Imaging experience
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only, RQI accepted
- ARRT certification (Radiography registry)
- State License primary source verification within 30 days of start
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start
- Education verification of highest degree completed
- Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry eligibility and fingerprinting (must be completed in Illinois)
- Drug testing (10-panel) within 30 days of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming good health and no physical limitations
- Fit mask testing (3M Aura 1870+), updated annually
- Required immunizations and titers including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive IgG titer or 2 vaccines)
- Varicella (positive IgG titer or 2 vaccines)
- Hepatitis B vaccine series or positive titer (declinations accepted)
- Flu seasonal vaccination or medical/religious exemption during flu season
- COVID vaccination series or declination
Additional Requirements
- Completion of competency exams as applicable
- Color blindness testing (passing score required)
- Employment history covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
- Completion of facility-specific training modules and policy acknowledgements prior to start
- Sexual harassment training (annual requirement)
- OSHA Respiratory Safety clearance if fit test is failed
Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of Interventional Imaging experience preferred
- No explicit prior travel experience required
