Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Job Description

• Schedule:

  • 2 week rotation
  • Week 1: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM
  • Week 2: Tuesday, Friday 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Saturday 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM

• Responsibilities:

  • Operate CT equipment, including Siemens and GE systems (experience with both preferred)
  • Use PACS and EPIC systems

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in New York
• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience with GE Healthcare CT equipment

Certifications & Competencies

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred
• National Tech Certification as applicable
• Successful completion of advanced EKG/ECG testing (90% passing score required) within 72 hours of contract signing
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Color Blind Testing preferred

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold acceptable; T-spot not accepted)
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Measles (Rubeola) – 2 MMR boosters or positive titer
  • Mumps – 2 MMR boosters or positive titer
  • Rubella – 2 MMR boosters or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B – Titer, declination, or vaccine series
  • Varicella – 2 boosters or positive titer
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required by December 5th, 2024
• Eye exam including Ishihara’s color deficiency test

Additional Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Background checks including 7-year search, nationwide, sex offender registry, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Facility-specific documents and assessments (e.g., lift assessment, photo for badge)
• Completion of virtual orientation and clinical testing modules prior to start
• Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training (New York State requirement for RNs and LPNs)

Prior Travel Experience

• No explicit prior travel experience required for this position

Summary

This is a 13-week travel contract for a CT Tech with at least 2 years of experience, ARRT-CT certification, and a New York Radiology license. The role requires working a rotating schedule with extended hours and proficiency with Siemens and GE CT equipment, PACS, and EPIC systems. Multiple certifications and health screenings are mandatory prior to start.
