Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech (Angiography Tech)

Location: Charleston, West Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday (typically 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM)
  • On-Call: Rotation includes weekdays and weekends; every third weekend required (5-6 total weekends during contract)
  • On-Call Requirement: Approximately 8 days per month including 1 weekend/month with a 30-minute response time
  • Floating: Required to float to a sister facility for 1 week during contract
  • Average Daily Census: 7-10 patients
  • Work Setting: Interventional Radiology, vascular radiology suite
  • Procedures: Peripheral angiography/venography with intervention, EVAR, TEVAR, carotid stenting, neuro-intervention including acute stroke, embolization

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in West Virginia
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, with experience within the last year
  • ARRT certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Additional Requirements

  • Orientation: Every other Monday; 2-day orientation (Thursday and Friday) including Cerner Infusion Management training
  • Flu Shot: Required during flu season (October 1 - March 31) unless medically exempt with documentation
  • COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required
  • Background Checks: 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, including SSN trace, sex offender search, national and international checks if applicable
  • Drug Testing: Must be within 30 days of start, includes a comprehensive panel (amphetamines, barbiturates, cocaine, opiates, etc.)
  • Health Documents:
    • Physical exam within 1 year, stating candidate is in good health and able to perform job duties
    • Negative TB test within 3 months or negative chest X-ray if positive TB history
    • Required immunizations or titers: MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap
    • Annual fit mask testing (N95) required; accommodations available if needed
  • References: Minimum 1 reference from a manager, supervisor, or charge nurse within the past year

This position is ideal for an Interventional Radiology Tech with at least 1 year of experience, who is comfortable with on-call duties and working in a fast-paced vascular radiology environment. First-time travelers are welcome.
