Job Description & Requirements

• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Minimum 2 years of experience required in the specialty
• Must hold a valid Respiratory Therapist License/Certification (RST or BRPT)
• Schedule includes working Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday
• Position requires floating to an additional location (Lewis Center)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Polysomnographer
• Polysomnographer experience within the last year
• Valid Respiratory Therapist certification (RST or BRPT)
• Respiratory Therapist experience

Compliance & Background Requirements

• I-9 verification required for direct placements
• Government-issued photo ID required within 24-48 hours of contract signing (no temporary IDs accepted)
• Criminal background check within 30 days of start, including 7-year county search and education verification
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• Official transcript may be required if education verification is incomplete
• Ohio BCI/FBI fingerprinting required within 60 days of start and must be updated for each new contract
• Sex offender, nurse aide, inmate, Medicaid exemption, and abuse registry searches required within 30 days of start
• Drug screening (9-panel) within 60 days prior to start, including amphetamines, benzodiazepines, cocaine, opiates, marijuana, fentanyl, and others
• Two professional references required (manager or supervisor; peer references not accepted)
• Copy of resume or employment application required
• Unit-specific skills checklist required and must be updated annually

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (no longer required to submit copy; must be free of communicable diseases)
• N95 fit testing required within 1 year of start and updated annually (specific mask models accepted)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine required within 10 years of start (must be completed after age 11)
• Tuberculosis (TB) testing options: two PPDs or QGOLD/TSPOT within 12 months; additional requirements if positive
• Seasonal flu vaccine required between October 31 and May 31; medical/religious exemptions accepted with facility approval
• Immunizations or proof of immunity required for: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Hepatitis B (declination accepted only for Hepatitis B if titer negative/equivocal)
• Flu exemption policy requires mask wearing during flu season if exemption is approved

Additional Notes

• Candidate’s legal name must match all licenses, certifications, and official documents exactly (no nicknames or aliases)
• Address on driver’s license must match license location for RRTs and must not be within 60 miles of the facility if holding an Ohio driver’s license (to avoid being considered local)
• Fingerprinting results may pend at start if facility completes onsite fingerprinting; fingerprint appointment proof required
• All certifications must be valid and name on certification must exactly match legal name and license
• No screenshots or photos accepted for compliance documentation; original or official documents required
• Candidates with positive TB results must complete additional facility-specific TB questionnaire
• Code of Conduct and Confidentiality Agreement must be reviewed and signed prior to start
