Job Opportunity: Outpatient Clinic LVN / LPN

Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide specialized wound and ostomy care in an outpatient clinic setting focused on chronic, non-healing, or slow-healing wounds.
  • Patient population includes those with diabetic wounds, pressure wounds, vascular wounds, non-healing surgical wounds, and ostomy care needs.
  • Services include wound evaluation and treatment, negative pressure wound therapy, compression therapy, biological dressings/skin substitutes, hyperbaric oxygen therapy coordination, and ostomy education and follow-up.
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team of specialists.
  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (No weekends, holidays, or on-call required).
  • Facility is 100% nicotine-free.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in Nebraska.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Long Term Care experience within the last year.
  • Experience working in a clinic setting.

Additional Requirements & Compliance

  • Government-issued photo ID required.
  • Background check within 30 days of start, including multi-county and nationwide checks.
  • Ongoing monthly SAM and OIG checks required.
  • Education verification required.
  • State-specific registry checks required prior to start.
  • Primary source license verification and NURSYS verification required.
  • Annual physical exam and fit mask test required.
  • Immunizations and health screenings required:
    • Tdap within last 10 years
    • Annual TB testing or chest x-ray if history positive
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with boosters as needed
    • Hepatitis B titer or declination
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer with boosters as needed
    • Drug screening within 60 days of start and annually thereafter
  • Flu vaccine preferred but not mandatory; documentation or declination required.
  • COVID vaccine preferred; exemptions accepted.
  • Annual skills checklist required.
  • Two professional references from the past two years required.

Work Environment & Additional Information

  • Scrubs are mandatory; facility-branded scrubs will be provided after confirmation.
  • Parking permits available for approximately $55/month or daily parking rates apply.
  • No weekends, holidays, or call responsibilities.
  • Orientation safety manual acknowledgment required.
  • Facility is a leading acute-care hospital with a strong focus on research and education.
