CT Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Dayton, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: Evening (5 days a week, 8 hours per day; 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
- Weekly Hours: 40
- Scrub Color: Grape/purple (black pants allowed with purple top)
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio
- ARRT CT Certification
- Radiologic License
- High School Diploma or GED, or an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology/Sciences
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
Compliance & Background Checks
- Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service
- 7-year criminal background check within one year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
- Fingerprinting (BCI and FBI) completed onsite on first day of orientation; travelers may start pending results
- Education verification required
- Facility does not accept candidates with felonies or corrective action on license; DUIs may be acceptable
Certifications & Competencies
- BLS (AHA Instructor or Provider) required
- ACLS and PALS certifications required for pediatric-related units (not specifically required here)
- Unit-specific competency exam required annually with passing score
- Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgment required
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Initial physical exam within 12 months of start, updated annually (no update required if continuously working)
- Tdap vaccine required
- Negative TB test (Tspot, Q-Gold preferred; PPD within one year acceptable) updated annually
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) titers or 2 adult vaccines required; booster vaccines if titers negative or equivocal
- Varicella titer or 2 adult vaccines required; booster vaccines if titers negative or equivocal
- Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or declination form required
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); declinations not accepted
- 10-panel drug screen completed and resulted prior to start; updated if break in service of 2+ months
Additional Requirements
- Employment application must include 2 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical acute care experience in a similar area
- Unit-specific skills checklist updated annually
- Radiation badge issued by facility for X-Ray Techs and Cath Lab Techs
- Travelers must complete facility-specific Hepatitis B declination form if declining vaccine
- Flu medical exemption form required if seeking exemption, signed by medical provider
