Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend required
Holidays: Required as scheduled
Floating: Required within the unit as needed
On-call: Not required
Patient Age Range: Neonates to Geriatrics
Special Equipment: Philips 7500, Philips Brilliance 64, Siemens Force


Job Description

  • Work schedule consists of 3 twelve-hour night shifts every other week.
  • Prior experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Tech required.
  • First-time travelers are accepted.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in Maryland.
  • Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends (every other weekend), and holidays as scheduled.
  • Must be able to float within the unit as needed.

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • I9 or Attestation.
  • Government-issued photo ID.
  • Background checks including 7-year criminal history, education verification, and state-specific exclusions.
  • Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start (instant tests not accepted).
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start.
  • Fit mask test within 1 year of start.
  • Immunizations and titers:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (if working with children).
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes.
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (positive titer or vaccination/declination as applicable).
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption for the 2025-26 season.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this location but documentation or declination may be collected for tracking.
  • Two supervisory references within 1 year of start.
  • Employment application/resume completed within 30 days of start.
  • Verification of previous 5 years of work history.

Facility-Specific Notes

  • Uniform: Navy blue scrubs; pink scrubs for trauma assignments; pediatric department allows child-friendly tops with navy blue pants.
  • Photo for badge: Passport-style photo with solid white or beige background required.
  • Confidentiality agreement and dress code must be reviewed and signed prior to start.
  • Additional facility-specific forms and training may be required prior to or during orientation.

Additional Certifications (as applicable)

  • ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification, CPI, STABLE (refer to job/unit description for applicability).
  • Competency exams including medication/pharmacology, age-specific, dysrhythmia/EKG, and color blindness testing as applicable.

Summary

This is a night-shift CT Technologist travel contract position requiring at least 1 year of CT experience, appropriate licensure and certifications, and the ability to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled. The role involves working with a wide patient age range and specialized imaging equipment. Compliance with extensive background checks, health screenings, and facility-specific requirements is mandatory. First-time travel technologists are welcome to apply.
