MS/Tele Float RN

Overview

• Travel/contract RN position in Valencia, California
• Night shift: 3x12s, 19:00–7:30
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Role details

• Mostly med surg, with possible float to Tele
• Floating is required to ARU and DOU
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: DOU 1:3; ARU 1:5
• Every other weekend required or more depending on department needs
• Sunday night is not considered a weekend

Required qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with feeding tubes
• Blood Product Administration
• Central line care/management
• Non-invasive airway management
• Experience with tracheostomy management
• IV insertion skills
• Wound Vac care/management
• Temporary licenses are not acceptable
• NIH Stroke Certification is required for all RNs and must be updated annually

• EPLS/GSA/SAM annually

• Rubeola, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella documentation
