Job Description

• Med Surg LPN/LVN role
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Shift: 3x12 hour shifts, 7 PM - 7 AM
• Every other weekend and holidays required
• Willing to accept first-time travelers (prior travel experience NOT required)
• Locals accepted
• No call required
• Non-profit, critical access hospital with 83 beds
• Medication system: AHT
• Documentation system: CPSI
• May be expected to work charge nurse duties

Certifications & Licenses Required

• Current Pennsylvania nursing license (must be able to work in PA at time of submission)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC as required
• State License primary source verification
• NURSYS verification as applicable

Skills & Competencies

• Basic nursing skills
• Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Medication and pharmacology competency exams required
• Orientation and safety manual acknowledgment

Health & Background Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• Background check within 1 year covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and for renewals
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands (initial and annual)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Immunizations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella required
• 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months
• Flu vaccine suggested but not required

Summary

This is a travel/contract LVN/LPN position in a critical access hospital in Pennsylvania, requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience in Med Surg.
