Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technician
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position: X-Ray Tech (Days)
- Must be proficient in Surgery, ER fluoroscopy, and general radiography.
- Some on-call duties may be requested.
- Shifts may vary according to need with advanced notice.
- Unit welcomes first-time travelers.
- Minimum 1 year of experience required in the specialty.
- Scrub color: Royal Blue
Required Certifications
- ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) - Registered
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, MAB, CPI certifications as applicable
- State License verification required
- National Tech Certification verification as applicable
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology/Cardiology specialty.
- Prior travel experience not required (unit welcomes first-time travelers).
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- I9 verification
- Driver’s License/State ID
- E-Verify
- 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks upon hire
- Education verification (highest level) required
- Work history verification for the past 7 years
- Skills checklist (unit specific) required annually
- Complete application/resume required
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, must be renewed annually
- Adult TDAP vaccine within 10 years of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- TB questionnaire for positive TB results, renewed annually
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history required
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required
Competency Requirements
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam (80% passing or meet Angoff score)
- Color blindness test (online version accepted)
- Competency exams as applicable to profession (minimum 80% passing or meet Angoff score)
- Annual core training/testing for subcontractors
Additional Notes
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
- Clear headshot photo required for badge
- Fingerprinting required for New Mexico placements only (not applicable here)
