Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Billings, Montana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description

Required Credentials & Documentation
Identification
- Current and valid Driver's License, government photo ID, or passport
- Proof of name change if applicable (certifications and licenses must have current legal name)
Background Checks (Required within 30 days of start)
- 7-year background check (must be renewed annually) including:
- SS Trace
- Nationwide, Counties, Statewide, National Criminal, National Sex Offender
- OFAC, FACIS L1
- EPLS/GSA/SAM
- HHS/OIG
- Education verification (3rd party verification of highest education level)
Certifications (AHA only, certificates of completion NOT accepted unless noted)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for ER, PCU, CVICU, ICU, Cath Lab, LAD, IR, Urgent Care
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required for ER, NICU, PICU, Pediatrics, Interventional Radiology, Urgent Care
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – Required for Nursery, NICU, L&D, Mother/Baby
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – Required for ER
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) – AWHONN Intermediate required for L&D; AWHONN Advanced also accepted
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) – Preferred for Psych
Licenses
- State License verification required within 30 days of start (temporary licenses NOT accepted)
- NURSYS verification required within 30 days for RNs and LPN/LVNs
Competencies
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam – Preferred for Tele, Stepdown, PCU, ICU, ER (80% pass rate)
Health & Safety Requirements
Physical & Health Documentation
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, or PA (must state "in good health, free from communicable diseases, and no physical limitations")
- Quantitative fit mask test with 3M mask within 90 days prior to start (qualitative tests not accepted; must be renewed annually)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (renewed annually) with specific testing options and documentation requirements
- TB questionnaire to support past positive TB, renewed annually
- Immunizations or titers required:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine preferred within 10 years or signed declination (TD not accepted)
- Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31); declinations and exemptions accepted
- COVID-19 vaccination initial series or medical/religious exemption required
Drug Testing
- Negative drug screen within 30 days of start, renewed annually
- Must include testing for a comprehensive panel of substances (amphetamines, opiates, fentanyl, etc.)
Employment History & References
- 2 references required, including a direct supervisor reference within the last year (letters accepted)
- Current employment application covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
- Employment verification preferred for the last 5 years
- Skills checklist required as applicable
Facility Specific Requirements
- OSHA form required for onsite fit testing
