Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Contract Length: 9 weeks


Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • 5x8 hour shifts, Days (7:30 AM - 5:00 PM)

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience required
  • First-time travelers are welcome
  • Required certifications:
    • ARDMS or CCI RCS
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Previous charge experience preferred
  • Experience with EPIC system required
  • Clinical experience required in:
    • Adult Acute Care
    • Adult Outpatient
    • Emergency Room (ER)
    • Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Clinical Skills Required

  • 2-D Echo, 3-D Echo
  • Bubble Study
  • Color Doppler
  • Imaging with Contrast Agents
  • Pharmacologic Stress Echo
  • Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE)
  • Treadmill Stress Echo
  • Knowledge of Simpson’s Rule, Diastology, LV Strain/LV Volume, Proximal Isovelocity Surface Area

Mandatory Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Identification & Background

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
  • Social Security Card (required for badge)
  • Background check within 60 days covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years, including:
    • All aliases
    • Social Security Trace
    • County, Statewide, National Criminal, Federal Court, National Sex Offender, FACIS Level 3
    • Education verification
    • International searches if applicable
  • No open hits on background check allowed
  • Foreign equivalency education evaluation if education obtained outside the U.S.
  • Transcript/Diploma copy for highest education (as applicable)
  • Fingerprinting (NC SBI Fingerprint Results) required for Home Health and Long-Term Care positions only

Education Verification

  • Strict primary source education verification required by profession
  • Foreign equivalency evaluation required if education obtained outside the U.S.
  • High School Diploma/GED verification required for certain specialties (e.g., Echo Tech, Radiologic Technologist, Surgical Tech, Ultrasound Tech)
  • Diploma fraud checks applied

Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC certified (required for all candidates except some non-clinical roles)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC certified (required for ICU, Cardiac Progressive Care, Cath Lab Techs, EP Techs, RRTs, etc.)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA or ARC certified (required for Pediatrics, PICU, RRTs)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - AAP/AHA certified (required for L&D, NICU, OB Specialty Care, and some RRTs)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - may be preferred for certain units
  • NIH Stroke Certification - required for Cardiac Progressive Care, MS/Tele, and ER RNs
  • Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) - required for all RNs except Behavioral Health and Case Managers; must pass with minimum score
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) - may be preferred for certain units
  • Facility-specific certifications and orientation acknowledgements required
  • National tech certifications required by specialty (e.g., ARDMS, ARRT, CCI, NBRC, NBCOT, CBSPD, NBSTSA)

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam (as applicable)
  • Fit mask test (annual, specific approved N95 respirators)
  • Adult Tdap vaccine proof required
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months
  • TB Questionnaire within 30 days of start and annually
  • MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella) - positive titer or 2 vaccines required
  • Hepatitis B - titer or declination required
  • Varicella - positive titer or 2 vaccines required
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
  • COVID-19 vaccination or declination accepted

References & Work History

  • 2 supervisory references required for clinical positions (1 within 12 months, 1 within 24 months)
  • Employment application/resume with 7-year work history required
  • Verification of all employment within last 5 years required through third-party vendor
  • Annual skills checklist with a one-week grace period for renewal

Additional Notes

  • Candidate must be flexible with scheduling and aware of zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
  • Compliance deadline is 12 Noon EST the Wednesday prior to the start date
  • Candidate must submit a compliant badge photo meeting strict facility requirements (no selfies, solid color background, business casual or uniform attire)
  • Candidate must review and sign facility-specific policies including floating policy and contractor equipment acknowledgement
  • EPIC testing required for many clinical roles with 2 attempts allowed; additional attempts may be granted at manager discretion
