Locals Accepted: Yes, locals receive same rate
Orientation: Next applicable orientation date is 3-4 weeks out

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency Room (ER)
First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)

Required Certifications (must have at time of submission unless otherwise noted)

AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
NIHSS Stroke Certification (must obtain prior to start)
Epic experience at level 3 or 4 required (time-sensitive modules must be prioritized once confirmed)

Required Licensure

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Florida (Primary source verification required within 30 days of start)
Pending licenses are not accepted

Compliance and Background Checks

7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
Florida AHCA Level II fingerprinting clearance required prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting accepted nationwide)
Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start (no FL Medical Marijuana card accepted)
Physical exam within 6 months of start
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start (annual updates required)
Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
Seasonal Influenza vaccination required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
COVID-19 vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption required

Additional Requirements

2 professional references within 2 years of start (required for travel positions)
Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) administered during orientation (2 attempts allowed)
Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
Completion of online onboarding modules prior to start (must be completed on a computer using Google Chrome)
Smoke-free facility: all travelers must be nicotine-free (negative nicotine test required)
All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront with application; late RTO requests likely not approved

Floating to multiple hospital locations within 20 miles as needed

This position is ideal for ER Registered Nurses with at least 2 years of ER experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced, teaching hospital environment with EPIC charting and multiple certifications. Prior travel experience is not required.
