Job Opportunity: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN / LPN) - Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Night shift (1945-0715)
- Hours: 36 hours per week, every other week rotation required
- Role: Backfill for current staff in Skilled Nursing Facility
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an LVN / LPN
- Prior travel experience required (e.g., must have completed at least one prior travel contract)
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted LVN / LPN license in Louisiana
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA provider, instructor, or RQI accepted)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required depending on unit
- Other certifications may be required based on assignment (e.g., PALS, NRP) – verify with assignment specifics
- Completion of medication/pharmacology competency exams as required by specialty
Health and Compliance Requirements
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Annual respirator fit testing (fit mask)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
- 12-panel drug screen within 90 days prior to start
- Background checks including criminal, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG
- Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption forms may be required
- References: 2 professional references required
Additional Notes
- Candidates must complete facility-specific orientation and training, including Healthstream courses
- Must sign confidentiality and system access agreements prior to start
- Compliance with facility policies on immunizations and health screenings is mandatory
