Position Details

• Shift Options: Can sign for 36 or 48 hours per week

Required Experience & Certifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Telemetry/Step-Down)

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Background Checks

• Criminal background check within 6 months of start (7-year search including statewide, nationwide, and international if applicable)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks quarterly
• Education verification of highest nursing education
• State-specific searches and highway patrol checks as required

Certifications & Competencies

• ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA only)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required within 1 year of start and updated annually
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
• Other certifications may be required based on unit (e.g., CPI, MAB, NIH Stroke Certification)

Health Documents

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test (annual renewal required)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine or declination
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray (2 negative PPDs or T-Spot/Q-Gold within 1 year)
• Immunizations or immunity documentation for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella
• Drug testing within 1 year of start, must include specific panels and be valid throughout assignment
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season

Additional Notes

• No more than 7 days of Return to Origin (RTO) allowed per 13-week contract
• Candidates must adhere to all facility policies and complete required documentation prior to start
