Job Opportunity: Mammography Technologist (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Fort Bragg, California

Job Summary

• Perform specialized breast examinations to assist in diagnosis and treatment of breast disease.
• Operate specialized mammography equipment and perform all required procedures.
• Provide skilled clinical care using technical and decision-making skills.
• Assist Radiologists with intricate mammography exams including breast biopsies.
• Produce high-quality films and complete documentation.
• Educate patients about exams while ensuring privacy and comfort.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology (required)
• Experience: Experience as a Mammography Technologist preferred
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Radiologic Tech RT and Mammography Technologist (required in CA)
  • ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R) (required)
  • ARRT Mammography (ARRT-M) (required in OR, preferred in CA and HI)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
  • Mammographic Radiologic Technology (MRT) (required)
• Preferred Certifications:

  • Fluoroscopy license (preferred in CA)
  • Venipuncture certification (preferred in CA)

Experience Requirements

Essential Functions

• Patient education and preparation for mammography exams.
• Assist Radiologist during breast biopsies and other intricate procedures.
• Maintain high-quality imaging and accurate documentation.
• Escalate issues to senior staff as needed.

Compliance & Safety Requirements

• Must comply with all required vaccinations as a condition of employment (medical and religious exemptions may apply).
• Background checks covering the last 7 years required.
• Drug testing required within 30 days before start.
• Physical exam required within 90 days of start.
• Fit mask testing (N95 preferred) required.
• TB screening (QGold/TSpot or 2PPDs) required within 30 days of start and annually thereafter.
• Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or positive titer)
  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (10/31 - 04/30).
• COVID-19 vaccination series required; medical and religious exemptions considered with documentation.

Additional Requirements

• Two clinical references verified within one year of start.
