Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (RRT Nights - NICU or PICU)
Location: Kansas City, Missouri

Position Details
- Specialty: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

- Unit: NICU or PICU
- Patient Ratios: 1:4
- Years of Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Respiratory Therapy)
- Prior Travel Experience: Required (explicitly stated)
- Licensure: Must have Missouri License. Candidates contracted for main campus may start with Kansas License pending, but must have documentation that it has been applied for.
- Floating: Yes, possibility to float within scope to Kansas location.
- Weekend Requirement: Not specified
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week (8 or 10-hour shifts)

- RRT Tech Certification: Required (RCP/CRT not accepted)
- Other: Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 3 months of start, including county and statewide searches for Missouri and Kansas
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated every 6 months
- Government-issued photo ID required on person during hours of service
- E-Verify or attestation required
- Residency Declaration Form required if working on a compact license
- Missouri Highway Patrol Check required
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands (initial and annual)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray per facility protocol
- Proof of immunizations or titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (3 vaccines, titer, or declination)
- Varicella
- Seasonal flu vaccination required (no declinations accepted; medical/religious exemptions require agency-specific form)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start
Competency and Testing
- Pediatric pharmacology competency exam required (pediatric association)
- Color blindness testing required (except non-clinical)
- Medication calculation/dosage test during orientation (100% passing required for RNs)
- Pass/Fail testing (EKG/Medication) required for RNs only
Additional Notes
- Scrub color: Any kid-friendly color or pattern; RRT may wear any color
- Charting system: Cerner
- Parking: Free with permit
- References: 2 supervisory references or performance evaluations verified within 1 year of start
- Performance evaluations and skills checklists required as applicable
- Facility-specific forms and health questionnaires must be completed prior to start
