Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Shift: 1st shift, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, 4 days a week (4x10s)
Weekend Requirement: Work every third weekend
On-Call: Yes

Experience & Skills Requirements

Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in Diagnostic/Fluoroscopy (No OR experience required)
Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
Technical Skills:
- Strong Diagnostic/Fluoroscopy background
- Experience with GE Siemens equipment, PACS, and portable X-ray machines preferred
- EPIC charting experience required

Licensure & Compliance

Must have valid state license verification within 30 days of start
Background checks required including 7-year criminal background check, FBI/BCI fingerprinting (Ohio-specific code 3701.881)
Monthly monitoring through EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG databases
Education accreditation verification required
Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (no pending tests allowed)
Physical exam documentation within 1 year of start
Immunizations and health requirements:
- Tdap vaccine (adult dose)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccines or positive titers
- Hepatitis B titer or vaccine series (declination acceptable)
- Varicella vaccines or positive titer (medical exemptions reviewed)
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31)
COVID-19 vaccination not required but recommended

Additional Requirements

Must complete skills checklist and competency exams as required
Medication/pharmacology competency exam required for RN/LVN candidates (if applicable)
Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required annually for applicable RNs (not specific to this role)
Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required annually
References: 2 professional references required, including at least one from a manager or formal leadership

Facility Specific Policies

Dress code and hand hygiene policy must be reviewed and signed
Confidential Fraud, Waste, and Abuse reporting training and acknowledgment required
Ethics and compliance policies must be reviewed and signed annually
