Setting

Dedicated home health role; not at the facility.

Patient Population / Case Mix

• Pediatric home care
• Patients are mostly trach and vent dependent at home
• Experience with technology-dependent and medically complex patients is preferred
• Experience in pediatrics or working with individuals with developmental delays is preferred

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Home Health experience within the last year
• 0.5 years of experience in Home Health
• Current CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
• Experience with trachs and vents at home
• Communication skills to work with all levels within an organization
• Proficiency in MS Office or similar software

• 7-year criminal background check
• Ohio BCI and FBI fingerprint results
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check
• HHS/OIG check
• Education verification
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
• Unit-specific competency exam
• Core Part I, II, and III competencies
• Unit-specific skills checklist
• Two positive professional references, including at least one from the most recent employer
• Employment application must include 3 years of prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting and in a similar area to the assignment
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Tdap within 10 years of start
• TB screening
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella documentation
• Drug screen within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccine or approved exemption during flu season
