ER Nurse

Job Overview

• Travel/contract role in Tracy, California
• Evening shift: 3x12 hours, 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Minimum every other weekend required
• No guaranteed block or grouped shifts

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Additional Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 6 months of start
• Sex offender search required within 90 days of start
• FACIS Level 3 search required within 2 weeks of start and monthly after start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM search required annually
• HHS/OIG search required annually
• California Medi-Cal search required if FACIS III cannot be run
• Employment application must include full 7-year work history with no gaps
• Work history verification must cover up to 7 years and explain gaps over 30 days
• Unit-specific skills checklist required
• References are required by the agency process

Health and Compliance

• Physical exam required within 1 year of start
• Fit test required within 1 year of start and renewed annually
• TB screening required within 90 days of start and renewed annually
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray required within 90 days of start
• Drug screen required within 6 months of start
• Flu vaccination or approved declination required during flu season
• Tdap required within 10 years of start
• Color vision screening must be completed by a licensed healthcare provider before start
• Respiratory safety clearance required before start

Other Start Requirements

• Review and sign job description, standards of business conduct, general regulatory orientation, vendor training, code of conduct, and overpayment refund policy before start
• Epic questionnaire required for RNs starting 11/3/2025 and onward
