Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Valencia, California
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Starts listed as 10/13, 10/27, or 11/11

Work Setting

• Fast-paced assignment
• Floating is required to ARU and DOU
• Nurse-to-patient ratio in DOU: 1:3
• Nurse-to-patient ratio in ARU: 1:5
• Every other weekend required or more depending on department needs
• Sunday night is not considered a weekend

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Float (1 year of experience)
• Float experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Feeding tube care and management
• Blood Product Administration
• Central line care/management
• Peripheral Line Care/Management
• Starting IVs
• Non-invasive airway management
• Tracheostomy Management
• Wound Care/Wound Vac

Additional Requirements

• RTO must be submitted up front, no exceptions
• Government-issued photo ID
• 7-year background check required within 1 year of start and updated annually
• Education verification required
• Identity verification required before start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
• TB questionnaire required
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccination or declination required during flu season
• COVID vaccine or facility-specific declination required during season
• 2 professional references within 3 years of start
• Employment application required
• Skills checklist required annually
