Overview

Travel/Contract RN role in Roanoke, Virginia
Night shift: 3x12s, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
Contract length: 13 weeks
Accepts first-time travelers; travel experience is preferred
Locals are accepted
May be required to float within skillset

Unit / Setting

Stroke/Neuroscience telemetry PCU
12 West specializes in hospitalist medicine patients, including stroke and neurology patients
Remote telemetry is used; monitors remain on the unit

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
Cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care
Experience with Epic

Preferred

Travel experience

Typical ratio is 1:5; staffing goal is 1:4
