Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Columbus, Georgia
- Day shift: 4x10 hours, 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
- 40 hours per week
- 12-week contract
- Unit includes these surgical service lines: GYN, General, Ortho, Ortho Spine, Neuro Spine, Urology, and Plastics
- Weekend coverage is every other weekend unless specified
- Call is dependent on skill set
- Floating is within facility/scope of practice and may include Piedmont Columbus Midtown
- Locals are accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of Operating Room experience
- Operating Room experience within the last year
- Full compliance required to start on time
- Photo ID
- Background check completed before start
- Education verification for related degree
- BLS
- Color blind testing
- Competency exam
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months of start
- TB questionnaire
- Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or signed declination
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
- Flu vaccine or declination
- 2 clinical references
- Skills checklist within 12 months
- Verification of most recent employer
Preferred
- ACLS
- PALS
- NRP
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Tdap within the past 10 years
Additional Notes
- If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it; if two fall during the assignment, both must be worked; if three fall during the assignment, two must be worked
- Non-billable orientation hours are based on contract length
- Clinical review is case-by-case before final manager decision
