13 weeks
Schedule
- Day shift
- 5x8 hours
- Monday through Friday
- On-call required for after-hours, weekends, and holidays
- On-call response time: 30 minutes
Role Overview
- Must function independently in all areas of endoscopy
- Includes advanced endoscopy procedures such as EUS and ERCP
- Includes pulmonary procedures such as bronchoscopy and EBUS
- Expertise in bariatric procedures and ION Robot is preferred
Required Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana RN license
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of endoscopy experience
- Endoscopy experience within the last year
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by the American Heart Association
- Resume/application
- Skills checklist
- Employment history with explanation for gaps, if applicable
Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements
- Current valid government photo ID
- 7-year criminal background check
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check
- HHS/OIG check
- Sex offender search
- NURSYS verification
- Competency exam completed within 1 year of start and scored at least 80%
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit testing within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start
- Drug screen within 60 days of start
- Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, varicella, and Tdap documentation
- Flu vaccination, declination, or approved exemption during flu season
- CLEAR enrollment for workforce access
- Photo for badge
Additional Notes
- May be assigned to an emergency team during an emergency event and expected to remain at the facility or serve on the relief team
- Candidate must be comfortable reporting as assigned during emergency events
- Must demonstrate mission and values and behave as a full-time employee would
