Step Down Registered Nurse

Overview

Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Contract length: 13 weeks
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night, 3x12 hours
Hours per week: 36
Unit type: 29-bed stepdown unit; not Tele or ICU, with Tele and Stepdown patients
Patient ratio: 1:3
Schedule notes: Every other weekend and holidays if needed
Floating: Must be willing to float to other Tele floors as needed
Local candidates: Considered within a 60-mile radius

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Florida
Stepdown (2 years of experience)
Stepdown experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience in a(n) Acute Care or Critical Care setting
Airway management experience
Management of dysrhythmias experience
Central line management experience
Interpretation of ABGs experience
Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure experience
Experience with Epic
